1. How can I apply to your university? Where can I follow announcements?

Applications to our university are announced every year in February or March on the website iso.dpu.edu.tr. Applications are made online.

2. Is your University Public or Private?

Our University is Public.

3. Which score types can I apply with?

You can apply with;

- TRYÖS Exam (min 150, max 500),

- SAT I Result (min 1100, max 1600),

- ABITUR Result (min 4, max 1),

- High School Diploma (min 2,5 or 50; max 5 or 100),

- International Baccalaureates (min 10, max 20) and,

- TQDK Results.(min 400, max 700)

4. What is TRYÖS Exam?

TR-YÖS (Türkiye Yurt Dışından Öğrenci Kabul Sınavı) is a national exam organized by ÖSYM for international students applying to Turkish universities. It assesses basic mathematics and logical reasoning skills, and having a TR-YÖS score often increases admission chances at public universities.

5. Is it advantageous to take TRYÖS exam?

Yes. Scores obtained from this exam are prioritized with a coefficient advantage in placement to our university.

6. Are tuition fees paid annually or per semester?

Tuition fees are paid per semester.

7. Are there differences in tuition fees depending on departments?

Yes, there are slight differences depending on departments.

8. Does your university offer scholarships?

No. As we are a public university, scholarships are not provided. However, tuition fees of our University are kept at a minimum and the city is affordable for students.

9. What are the tuition fees?

Tuition fees are determined annually. Current annual tuition fees for the 2025–2026 academic year are as follows:

10. Are there programs taught fully in English?

Business Administration (English) and English Literature are taught in English.

11. I can not speak Turkish. Can I still apply?

Yes. Students can receive Turkish language education at TÖMER (Turkish Education Center of University) for one year (maximum two years) before starting their academic program.

12. What is the TÖMER fee?

The annual TÖMER fee is 50,000 TL (A1–C1), approximately 1,100 USD.

13. Can I transfer to my department mid-year after If I can get my proficiency level at TÖMER?

Yes, you can do this under current regulations.

14. Are accommodation facilities provided?

As a public University we do not provide accommodation, but there are many affordable dormitories and apartments in Kütahya.

15. What is the approximate monthly cost of living?

Single accommodation: 700–900 USD

Shared accommodation: 400–600 USD

16. Is there any tuition discount for academic success?

No academic success-based discount is available. However, sibling discounts can be applied if another sibling studies at a public university in Türkiye at the same time.

17. How does the visa process work?

After placement, an official acceptance letter is given from the application system and this can be used to apply for a visa at consulates.

18. What if the visa is rejected? Can University send letter or e-mail to Consulates?

The acceptance letter includes a special code for consulates. The consulates can verify this document. The universities cannot contact consulates directly.

19. When do the applications start?

Applications start in March, and we make 4-5 different calls. Applications are made online.

20. What is the period of registration to University?

Registrations take place between July and November, depending on placement date. On your placement document, you will see your registration dates.

21. Do you assist with residence permits?

Yes. The university has a residence office to help students.

22. Do you offer Master’s or PhD programs?

Yes we offer. Applications for Master and PhD are accepted in fall and spring semesters. Announcements are published on lee.dpu.edu.tr.

23. Can we communicate in English during registration period?

Yes. English-speaking staff are available. You can contact via email or face to face.

25. How many students does the university have?

Approximately 45.000 students, including around 7.000 international students.

26. How many international students will be admitted this year?

Approximately 5,000 international students, mainly for undergraduate programs.

27. Do you offer any Exchange Programs at your University?

Yes. In our University we offer Erasmus Exchange Program. This Program is also available for international students.

28. Can I change my department if I am not satisfied?

Yes. You may reapply through the system and change your department. In a year, a student can only change the department once.
